Sydney Chapter of Reclink Community Cup for 2012

Thanks to the monster efforts made by Melbourne participants and supporters in the last 20 years of Melbourne Community Cup history, we have been able to create a new chapter in Sydney. The principals of the event are the same – fundraising for Reclink Australia’s programs which assist Australia’s disadvantaged, to unite together the community and to create a fun day for all.

The event will take place at Henson Park, Sydenham on Sunday 18 March 2012. The venue is a local community favourite with regular Australian football (AFL) matches as well as it being the home ground for the Newtown Jets. The ground has a long community and sporting history, including having the unique claim to fame as the principal cycling venue for the 1938 British Empire Games.

Keeping Melbourne for Melbourne, the Sydney chapter will see two brand new teams created.
